Bajaj Auto Ltd announced a notable 25% year-on-year growth in its total vehicle wholesales, including exports, with a total of 3,65,904 units sold in March.
Compared to March 2023, during which the company sold 2,91,567 two-wheelers and commercial vehicles, this year’s sales figures demonstrate a significant increase.
Total domestic sales, including commercial vehicles, witnessed an 18% surge, reaching 2,20,393 units in March. This growth is compared to the 1,86,522 units sold in the same month last year.
Exports saw a remarkable 39% increase, with 1,45,511 units shipped overseas in March, compared to 1,05,045 vehicles exported in March of the previous year.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, Bajaj Auto reported wholesales of 4,350,933 units, marking an 11% increase over the 3,927,857 units sold in the previous fiscal year.
Domestic dispatches to dealers experienced a significant rise of 29%, totaling 2,714,723 units in the fiscal year 2023-24, as compared to 2,106,617 units in the 2022-23 fiscal year.
However, exports witnessed a decline of 10% in the last fiscal year, with 1,636,210 units exported compared to 1,821,240 units of two-wheelers and commercial vehicles exported in the fiscal year 2022-23.
