Introduction: We are pleased to announce the launch of the revamped e-invoice master information portal at https://einvoice.gst.gov.in, as part of our ongoing commitment to enhance taxpayer services. This initiative comes on the heels of one year of successful implementation of additional IRP portals and the e-invoice QR Code Verifier app. We strive to continually improve user experience and accessibility, and the new features introduced aim to do just that.
New Features of the Revamped Portal:
- PAN-Based Search: Users can now check the e-invoice enablement status of entities using their Permanent Account Number (PAN) alongside the existing GSTIN search option.
- Automatic E-Invoice Exemption List: The portal now automatically publishes an updated list containing all GSTINs that have filed for e-invoice exemptions at the beginning of each month, available for user download.
- Global Search Bar: A comprehensive search tab has been introduced to facilitate quick access to information across the portal.
- Local Search Capabilities: Enhanced search functionality within advisory, FAQ, manual, and other sections for efficient information retrieval.
- Revamped Advisory and FAQ Section: Now organized year-wise and month-wise for easier reference, providing comprehensive guidance.
- Daily IRN Count Statistics: The portal now includes statistics on the daily generation count of Invoice Reference Numbers (IRN).
- Dedicated Section on Mobile App: Information and support for the e-invoice QR Code Verifier app are readily available.
- Improved Accessibility Compliance and UI/UX: Adhering to GIGW guidelines, the portal now offers improved features such as contrast adjustment, text resizing buttons, and screen reader support for enhanced accessibility.
- Updated Website Policy: Thorough updates have been made to the website policy, including archival policy, content management & moderation policy, and web information manager details.
Progress and Achievements:
- Over the past year, more than 1.6 crore e-invoices were reported through the new IRPs, showcasing the robustness and efficiency of the system.
- Introduction of an internal e-invoice comprehensive health dashboard to further enhance monitoring of the e-invoice ecosystem.
- Expansion of IRP Portals: GSTN now operates a total of six IRP portals through its partners, providing accessible reporting options for all eligible taxpayers.
- E-Invoicing Reporting Accessibility: Taxpayers can report e-invoices through any of these six IRP portals, online, via APIs, or through a mobile app, free of cost.
- Hourly Auto Population of E-Invoices in GSTR-1: Working with NIC-IRP to enable hourly auto-population of e-invoices in GSTR-1 reported on the NIC-IRP 1&2 portal.
- E-Invoice Download and Verification: Enhanced accessibility for e-invoice download for the past six months for both buyers and sellers, and introduction of the e-invoice QR code verifier App.
Upcoming Enhancements: An enhanced version of the e-invoice verifier app, packed with new features, will be launched shortly.
